Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the G Online SMS service (the "Service"), including via the G Online SMS WordPress plugin, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and G Online Sites ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), the operator of the G Online SMS gateway located at sms.gonlinesites.com.
Description of Services
G Online SMS provides a bulk and single SMS messaging gateway that allows registered users to:
- Send SMS messages to phone numbers in Ghana and supported international destinations
- Automate SMS notifications through integrations with WordPress, WooCommerce, Contact Form 7, and Gravity Forms
- Manage sender IDs, view account balances, and review message logs
The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
Account Registration & API Key
To use the Service you must register an account at sms.gonlinesites.com/app. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
Upon registration you will be issued an API key. You are solely responsible for:
- Keeping your API key confidential
- All activity that occurs under your API key
- Promptly notifying us if you suspect unauthorised use
Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. The following are strictly prohibited:
- Sending unsolicited commercial messages (spam) to recipients who have not consented
- Sending messages containing illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or fraudulent content
- Impersonating any person, business, or government entity in sender IDs or message content
- Using the Service to harass, threaten, or intimidate any individual
- Attempting to bypass network filters, rate limits, or carrier restrictions
- Reselling or sublicensing access to the API without prior written consent
- Sending messages that violate any applicable law, including Ghana's Electronic Communications Act
Data Handling & Privacy
When you use the Service, the following data is transmitted to our servers:
- Recipient phone numbers — to route and deliver messages
- Message content — the SMS text you send
- Sender ID — the name or number displayed to recipients
- API key — to authenticate requests
We retain message logs for operational and billing purposes. We do not sell your data or your recipients' data to third parties. For full details, please review our Privacy Policy.
By using the Service to send messages to third parties, you represent and warrant that you have obtained all necessary consents required under applicable data protection law.
Credits, Billing & Refunds
The Service operates on a prepaid credit model. Credits must be purchased in advance and are deducted per SMS message sent, based on the destination and message length.
- Credits are non-transferable and non-refundable once consumed
- Unused credits do not expire unless the account is terminated for a violation of these Terms
- Pricing is subject to change with 14 days' advance notice published on our website
- Failed message deliveries due to network issues may be eligible for credit review upon request
WordPress Plugin
The G Online SMS WordPress plugin is a free, open-source plugin distributed under the GNU General Public License v2. It is provided as a convenience to connect your WordPress website to this Service.
When the plugin is installed and configured with your API key:
- SMS messages are dispatched to our API endpoint at
http://sms.gonlinesites.com/app/sms/api - No data is collected or transmitted from your site visitors without being triggered by a WordPress event (e.g. user registration, order placement)
- Account balance checks are performed when the plugin dashboard is loaded
The plugin is subject to these Terms in the same way as direct API usage. The plugin author and G Online Sites are the same entity.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, G Online Sites shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of profits or revenue
- Loss of data or business interruption
- Damages resulting from delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier or network issues
- Damages arising from unauthorised use of your API key
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the value of credits purchased in the 30 days preceding the claim.
Message delivery is subject to recipient carrier networks and cannot be guaranteed in all circumstances. We are not responsible for delivery failures caused by factors outside our control.
Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if:
- You violate any provision of these Terms
- We receive credible reports of spam or abuse originating from your account
- We are required to do so by law or regulatory authority
Upon termination, your API key will be revoked and any unused credits will be handled in accordance with our refund policy. We reserve the right to retain message logs as required by law.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users via the email address on file or through a notice on the platform dashboard.
